I just love eating brunch with my family and friends. Brunch is a meal eaten between breakfast and lunch, usually in the late morning. The usual brunch fare would include bacon, sausages, toast, fresh fruits, eggs, pancakes, waffles and pastries. In Philadelphia, there are a lot of restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy brunch with your loved ones. One of the favorite places to go to is Café Estelle located at 444 N. 4th Street, between Callowhill and Spring Garden. They believe in a healthy way of living. They have fresh bread and pastries and they see to it that they use local and organic products and ingredients. A must try in Café Estelle is their French toast stuffed with peaches and cream cheese. Drown it in maple syrup and eat it with a bit of their homemade sausage. They are open Tuesdays thru Fridays, 7 a.m. to 4 read more...

They are open Tuesdays thru Fridays, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and on Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Next on the list, we have Sabrina’s Café. They have three locations, one in 910 Christian Market, the second is in 1804 Callowhill Street and the last one is in 227 N. 34th Street. Some of the brunch specials on the menu include pumpkin cakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, sandwiches and pancakes. Their staff is very friendly and accommodating and you will definitely love the homey feel of the place. For a complete list of their business hours and menu, you can visit http://sabrinascafe.com.

Let us also mention the Creperie Beau-Monde, a traditional Breton Creperie founded in 1998. It is located in 624 South Sixth Street. Some of the awards it received were Best Crepe in 1998 and Best Dessert in 2003 given by the Best of Philadelphia Awards. It recently received the Ultimate Restaurant Award given by Style Magazine in 2010. They offer both savory and sweet crepes and they encourage you to create your own crepe using their fresh and quality ingredients. Some of the crepe suggestions would consist of Sausage, Swiss cheese and Mushrooms with Sunny Side-Up Eggs; Scrambled Eggs with Blueberries and Maple Syrup in a Sweet Crepe and Bacon, Mushrooms and French Blue Cheese with Poached Eggs. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and they open at 12 noon, Tuesdays thru Fridays and 10am for Saturdays and Sundays.

Whichever place you choose for brunch, or whatever food you choose to eat, it is always more fun if you share brunch with your family and friends. Enjoy your brunch!

Having said that, a bad dish can wreck an otherwise pleasing night, so it’s natural to do some research and take a look around for thoughts and opinions prior to deciding where to eat. Since that fails to make circumstances complicated enough, there’s so much more to contemplate about a restaurant than just the cuisine! The character of a place can definitely make an impact in your general experience, whether it is snobby and unskilled staff members or a yelling toddler another table over. The character of a place can definitely make an impact in your general experience, whether it is snobby and unskilled staff members or a yelling toddler another table over. But it’s not all unpleasant, of course – a great environment can make a pretty good meal into an awesome meal!

We have lived here in Philadelphia for a long time at this point, and we’ve developed quite a decent repertoire of restaurants we cherish, ranging from small hole-in-the-wall places to impressive fine dining, and here are several of our all-time favorites (although it was so tough to choose!). This is what folks on Yelp.com say on the subject of our favs:

#1. Lacroix at the Rittenhouse

Probably my favorite restaurant in Philly. So posh and the views of Rittenhouse Square are fantastic. I first went there for restaurant week and a celebrity couldn’t have gotten better service! They are friendly without being stuffy. And then there is the food… AMAZING! So creative, beautiful, and delicious. If you want to splurge this is the place to do it.

#2. Beau Monde

This place was superb!.
Truly the BEST crepes i have ever had.
Good prices too ( im from Miami so these prices are good).

My friend had the Bloddy Mary and said it was the best in the City.
I tried the Savory Coq au Vin crepe and for dessert the banans, white Chocolate and Caramel.
Both were delicious!!1.
We tried going back on a Monday night before i left town and the place was closed!!. What a dissapointment.

Other than not being open on Mondays, i give this place 5 stars. Cannot wait to go back to Philly and eat there again.

#3. Café Lift

428 N 13th St

Great food. Cool dining area. Organic ingredients. I am sold.
The cannoli french toast was outrageous. The mushroom frittata with egg whites had exotic mushrooms and a hint of gorgonzola. Also had roast red potatoes and multi grain toast. A crazy hot pepper sat on the top. Be careful. Their house made hot sauce I had on the side was my kind of heat. Great service. My new favorite place for brunch

Philadelphia, PA

When searching for more activities to see in Philadelphia, go and visit our other posts about our stunning city, and prepare a day of it! We are positive you can find something which can help turn your dining adventure into part of a special memory!
